We are country-raised, identical twins and we were fortunate to have Margaret River as our ripe neighbour growing up. We have both always shared a love for wine and everything it embodies. We understand how it can transform your day, your vibe, bringing people together, sharing stories, laughter, and love. It’s our pleasure to share this with you through Twiins wine.
Discovering how similar the Margaret River soil and climate is to the Bordeaux region in France, our wines seem to be favoured. Here we enjoy the complexity of the amazing maritime climate. Warm summer days are cooled by evening sea breezes, and our rich soils deliver full flavours in the grapes which your palate will lust for.
Established in 1999, and located at the gateway to the world famous Margaret River region, The Millshed is where the magic happens and the juice becomes Twiins.
Under the attentive guidance of winemaker Greg Garnish, great care and attention to detail are adhered to in the winemaking process with his passion and dedication shining through in exquisitely crafting creative wines of complexity and finesse.
Greg is one of Australia’s most outstanding, award-winning winemakers, and the rest of our team includes a group of exciting, creative young winemakers and wine lovers. Together we are committed to creating something wonderful.
Our focus is in producing single-vineyard wines that display a unique sense of place or terroir – best expressing the distinct personality of each vineyard and the grape variety. To ensure the rare single vineyard characteristic is preserved, we pick our grapes from carefully managed family vineyards.
We love wine. We love the art of making it, tasting it and drinking it. We’ve created a series of wines, each of which are exactly what we look for in a perfect bottle.
Sharon has spent most of her business life in the Pilbara region of Western Australia where temperatures would hover around 30 degrees and it wasn’t uncommon for it to reach a scorching 50 degrees. Sharon would look forward to jumping in the pool at the end of the day with crisp Semillon Sauvignon Blanc in hand with an ice cube or two. We feel our white wine is a perfect blend being 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillion which reflects the growing popularity of Sauvignon Blanc as the dominant variety.
Mish lived in London for 5 years managing pubs and restaurants and in charge of liquor buying. Here she discovered how Margaret River wine was well known and highly sought after on an international level. The icy cold London weather found Mish to regularly enjoy a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc with her meals. From that point the hunt was on for the perfect red grape!
